I liked the intro writing for your werewolf game, sounds cool. Whats the background to that game? Underworld style? or is it more American Werewolf with other beasties. Werewolves and Zombies have to rank as my fav supernatural threat and they make for great role play games...at least zombies do. Not yet played anything with Werewolves in it lol

Only role played 2 Zombie games, one in Ivybridge where I believe we all held up in the Gun Shop and got wasted and the other set in Plymouth city but that never got fully started Sad

Should so open a pub called "The Slaughtered Lamb"

^_~

Think of it as the real world exists in parallel with all the supernatural beings of the world. Everywhere is dangerous, its just the 'normal' people dont know it. The supernaturals live everywhere, and there are wars going on in the shadows between them. Whilst some (Vampires, Werewolves, Mages, Changlings) fight their own battles and make sure the humans never find out about them, other creatures (such as the sworn enemies of said factions ie. The Pure, Vampire Hunters, Spirits) do what they want without care, they have their own perverse set of rules they follow. But essentially its all about waging war across cityscapes etc whilst trying to make sure no-one finds out about your kind. Its essentially a real dark and brooding and brutal game. Werewolf being the easiest to survive in, due to the fact werewolves regenerate, it is quite easy for people to die to random occurances. For example in one of our games, the group got approached by a group of men with knives, and they stood a real strong chance of one of them dying there. Because they couldnt let normal people see their powers (ie reveal themselves) they were essentially normal people. And if they hadnt gotten lucky, someone would have ended up dead.

But thats the game, Werewolf is all about protecting your turf from spirits and other beings and hunting down your enemies whilst also roaming into the spirit world to make sure they are all kept in check. All whilst also running your normal lives and trying not to be discovered.

A little like Night Watch in a way, and Underworld crossed over kinda like you explained tonight! its def a game I'd be interested in playing. i liked what you said about how its easier to die when your in human form than when your in your wolf form, but you cant really morf in front of humans so you have to be aware of your vulnerability when around normal folk. I can imagine scenarios in game where your stuck in situations where you want to change but cant but that means your weaker and you therefore need to leg it lol what do you do lol??

What do you do? Well one thing you could do is uppercut someone with a toaster (yes,,, that is what the players did.) and just knock them flat out with an obscenely lucky roll. To be honest, it sounds funny. But it was actually quite good improvising a weapon with whatever they had with them.

And yes, it not only sounds great, it is great. With such a roleplay orientated character progression too, it means you have to roleplay and do stuff, or it will mean no matter how much experience you get you will never have any character progression. It is a really good game system and a really good setting.
