Looking for more info on the club

Hey guys,

Recently I spoke to Jay whilst in GW, he mentioned the club, and told me a few things about it. Im looking to start attending pretty soon, most likely at some point next week.

There are a couple things i'd like to clear up first however, mainly, whats parking like? I spend a fortune on parking going to work and im not sure I could afford anymore, haha. Also, in reference to gaming, im fairly familiar with the general rules as I used to play when I was a little younger, is there anyone around whose content with maybe taking me through a few games to reacquaint me with the rules proper? Im currently running with about 1500 - 1700 points of Space Wolves, mostly unpainted but a work in progress and finally, with reference to dice and tape measures, i've misplaced mine at this current point in time, are there any house tapes/dice that I could possibly use until i can fund my own (bring on payday!)?

I am sure that people will be more than willing to have a game with you. If you stick a date on here for when you are attending, I'll give you a game if I don't already have one.

I dont personally play 40k but there are plenty of players that do, you will have no problem getting a game. Also the club members are awesome im fairly new too but all have helped me get involved and tought me game rules and got me involved even invited to tournaments around the country. Parking is free mate no need to pay and the game rooms are big with lots of tables to choose from. The pub also does some good burgers for less than 3 quid so u can get something to eat if u wanted and of course a drink. The atmosphere is brilliant when its a busy night with lots of games going on and of course on quieter nights its good to be able to chill out and play your favourite game. If you have any other questions mate just ask there is always someone to help

How does 1500pts sound? I'll be there bang on opening time, if not a little before ( if I can find my way there, that is, haha).

A change of plans on my part, as well as next week, i'll also be attending tonight (8th) so if anyone fancies a game i'll most certainly be up for one

In reference to tape measures/dice/templates we have them at the club, also you can always borrow anything you need from someone else if need be.

Not sure if I had a game for tomorrow or not, just to recap i've got 1500 points of Space Wolves if anybody is interested and as already said i'll be attending both days this week, however, I already have an impending defeat at the hands of Chaos Daemons on thursday, haha.

Posting here until my forum account is approved. Generally looking to book a couple of games up in advance, currently I can do up to 2000 points of Space Wolves. Im unable to attend this week coming due to lame ass night shifts, however, im planning to attend on the 2nd and 5th of august, anybody who wants a game on either of those days, let me know here.

Awesome Jay, I look forward to it - there shall indeed be a reckoning between the Wolf and the Lion. I might be out of work a little later than usual on the 5th, could be about 7.30/7.45 until I get there, depending on how quickly I drive, possibly earlier. I'll see if I can get a shift swap to be out earlier, but i'll definately be attending either way.

Also my calendar reading skills are apparently crap - i'll be around on the 26th and 29th too, so anybody whose interested in a game on those days give me a poke here aswell.

In response to Chris King's post in booking a game forum, I should be up for 2,000pts. Need to check my work schedule tomorrow and then i'll be able to give you a definate. Will reply around 9pm tomorrow when I get home from work.

Also, sorry I couldn't make it tonight Jay, got collared leaving the office and asked to stay an extra couple of hours.
