| As the title suggests paw 2011, as a demo/participation game we are in the planning stages of a siege battle. Owen has volunteered to run the event (stepping into James Lyles shoes) I am starting on the castle at the moment have 8ft of wall and a gatehouse, we are looking for some input from whoever wants to volunteer whether it's background, rules, painting or building and so over to you guys. We need siege towers batteringram think of Grom from lord of the rings, also who is attacking and why, and who is attacking and why if your interested probably best to get hold of Owen as things are a bit hectic until schools go back | |

| ahhh man Fantasy that blows lol I was looking forward to helping out again Idea sounds cool, I'd be happy to paint something, but I think this time we need to make sure people try and do a better job on the painting side. I felt a few of us put alot of time into painting our sections where as others didnt and it showed on the day. There is a lot of talent at the club and with the right applicaiton of effort your castle could look the fookin dogs mate ^_~ | |

| Rob Fantastic, Owen mentioned you might be interested in that side of things, and as it happens I'm in need of a little inspiration, will you be posting your story on the forum? At the moment I'm trying to plan what's inside the wall I've built so far. A keep, palace, monastary? Where is it and who are the protaganists? I will try and resolve my pc issues and post more often with pictures of progress
Ahh mr Lye a friendly hand across the 40k/fantasy divide hopefully I've learned a couple of lessons from last year and am trying to organise myself better and get help organised earlier leaving less to the last minute, without the help of the club it would not have been the success it was
any more volunteers? | |

| What armies are you going to use to fight the battle?
I presume Owen's Empire will hold the castle against some evil types. Come to think of it, I could lend my Brets as well. They could arrive as a relief force or help in the defence. Will give me impetus to finally paint them all too.
If it's an Empire castle, a Temple of Sigmar or Wizards Tower would look ace within the walls. If it's Bret castle you need a keep and/or Grail Chapel.
I'll post the story on the forum and print up a version to be on display at PAW.

| Excellent another pair of hands, what do you fancy undertaking? Siege towers and battering rams are up for grabs, but if you have something else to bring to the table go ahead, as James points out the more involved people are the better the end product. Choose an aspect you enjoy !!! Looking at having painting to begin in about 6 weeks or so

| Looking forward to the practice game tomorrow... Should be epic in every sense of the word. Andy's castle will be, no doubt, a talking point all night, and there will be more than 20,000 pts of Empire/Woodies and WoC/Beasts duking it out.
I have 5000 pts of Woodies for Mr Guy Ringham to overcome. And yes, it's a legal list...
