University of Plymouth games society versus cross swords 40k game

who would be interested in playin agianst the UoP game soc 40k players.

-no super heavies
-points depend on number of players
-apocylypse formations are allowed
-no strategic assets
-date to be comfirmed, most likely a saturday

any questions just ask

Why no super heavies? I relish the chance to bring death to the student kind.

And saying because students are bums is not an excuse.

Super-Heavies can dominate the game, all it takes someone with a Titan & it's goodnight Vienna!

Thinking a multi-table game maybe? If not, one large table played across the table.

6 players a side should do it, thinking 1,500 pts per player.

Also if we are doing it as an Apocalypse game, there needs to be a restriction on strategic assests, as there are some which can swing the game round for one side too much.

yup. I really want this to be fun and not about winning *shudder* and I also want cross swords and game soc to build a relationship of epicness

Totally!! The last Mega-Apocalypse game was a blast! (shame you missed it Ed)

As long as you make the game all about the objectives so people have to actually THINK about what they're doing, getting a good variety of armies on both sides it should go fairly smoothly.

OBJECTIVES!!!!!! Whats that?! we usally beat each other scencless then remember what we're supposed to be doing in turn 5.
