exeter WHFB tournament:

In addition to our 40k and Infinity tournaments we're running on the same weekend I've convinced the club to let me run a WHFB tournament as well.

Here are some quick details in lieu of a more detailed rulespack (coming soon)

WHFB Tournament

Time: Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th June 2011
Place: Queen Elizabeth's Community College, Crediton, Devon (near Exeter)
Cost: £20 per player
Prize pool: TBC though roughly £100 of vouchers/prize support in line with our other two tournaments - (40k and Infinity).

The rules pack is to follow in a nice pdf format, but the facts are:

5 Games (3 on saturday, 9:30 start, 2 on sunday, 16:00 finish)

2000 Points, must be fully painted.

We understand the reasoning behind restricted tournaments, however to up the stakes this tournament is un-restricted (we couldn't call it nut up or shut up and then restrict you could we?).
However, WYSIWYG is in place, so for certain magic items you will be required to use a model representative of the effect (i.e fizgigs folding fortress etc.). However, for ease we will house-rule all terrain to be standard (i.e no mysterious or magical terrain).

Scenarios used will be |

Game 1: Battleline
Game 2: Meeting Engagement
Game 3: Battle for the Pass

Game 4: Dawn Attack
Game 5: Battleline

1st round draw will be random, all subsequent rounds will be swiss drawn.

The scoring system is a follows
W: 30 points
D : 10 points
L: 0 points

Games will be decided as per the victory points section of the rulebook.

All models are expected to be painted to usual tournament standard.
There will be a best painted prize, as well as prizes for placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
