Incoming - Cross Swords Fantasy Tournament

The tournament will be organised as a group stage, followed by straight knockout. Ideally, we need 16 players, but I'm sure we can accommodate more or fewer than 16.

The groups will each have four players, with a seeding system used to make sure that our tournament regulars are spread out a bit.

Army lists are fixed for the whole tournament and must be written before the group stage draw. Army lists should be no more than 2400pts. The only restriction is that no special or named characters are allowed.

Note that the 6 scenarios from the rule book will be used, with a roll off taking place before each game.

Entry fee is £2, which will cover the cost of the fabulous prizes.

brilliant im in the world cup warhammer tournament now to come up with a original team/army name will there be a draw to determine what groups everyone is in like the proper world cup

Andi, you will make filth whatever I do...

I don't plan to ban certain magic items or combos. The potential presence of the power scroll will at least make some armies think more carefully about bunkering up in death star units. In any case, we could all take it if we want. My experience at ToS was that no comp can be fun.

rob when is this tournament likely to start as i need to buy a couple of things for my list or i can write a list with that ive got as ive got a fully painted 2500 point army already so ill just drop a couple of ranks to fit it in

I plan to do the draw for the group stages on Thursday 24th February. Lists need to be finalised before then so that no-one tailors for the group they-re in.

I am in. Will bring some Vampires to the stage.
