| So, after just finishing an amazing game of Space hulk tonight (in which myself and Mike lost) we came across the rule where Terminators cannot turn 180' meaning they have to turn 90' in one turn then 90' in a second turn. This seems a questionable rule and although the rule book reference sheet has a dash next to turning 180' is it deemed acceptable to turn 2 lots of 90' or is this a rule saying NEVER TURN 180'!!!! in 1 turn. Althought this rule is quite clear it still seems a little strange and it vcaused a great deal of discussion Dan himself is taking this further lol
So...should a house rule to de or is it out of the question to indeed question the new rules......I leave this open to discussion | |

| i gotta agree that was an awesome game especially as we beat the odds on the mission by the skin of the fuzz on your teeth but i agree the no 180 rule is daft i propose as a house rule that 90 stays as 1ap but a 180 is 3ap or alternatively 2ap and no free shot | |

| Seems they overlooked this old rule. Who are we to criticise though? | |

| true, i dont even know the rules properly so cant really question if its overlooked or not but i still think we should implement a house ruling on 180 turns | |

| I reckon the 180 rule is a bit daft. I would be happy to allow Terminators to do a 180, but only if the player is prepared to make really cool handbrake turn noises! Possibly with a small practical demonstration of this feat on the dance floor | |

| ok then house rule 180 is fine but at the obvious cost of 2 cps?? (2 lots of 90) sound fair...with handbrake noises of course lol | |

| To be honest the query was worth it just to see Mike doing an impression of a terminator doing a three point turn! Amazing game last night! Right to the wire as it should be. | |

| Hmm, although i dont like the fact that you cant turn 180. After browsing some other discussions on the net, i have come to the understanding that i think it just means that you cant turn 180 in a single action, you can however turn 90+shoot, then 90+shoot. This doesnt seem like a meaningful difference. Until you move into a marine on marine setting (or expansion with overwatching nids), as a double action it would activate overwatch twice to turn 180. So it really doesnt make much difference except in that specific circumstance. I think you will agree that this is fine, since you can turn 180, it just takes 2 actions to do, instead of 1. | |

| stealers can turn 180' already no probs so overwatch shouldnt be an issue for them any more than it already is....*snort, arranges glasses on nose* the terminators turn 180 as well if they win an assult when attacked from behind as they turn to face the attacker rather than kill the stealer. The game we played that happened to us when we slashed at the assault canon dude!! | |
