| This is more of concept idea at the moment, with a few ideas mulling around.
More than anything, im looking to see who'd be interested before I invest a significant amount of time in writing a backstory and fine tuning, it may be a couple of months away yet. Im looking at running a campaign with a very strong narrative side to it, most likely based around a sector, combining all of the 40k expansions into one crucible of war. If you think this could be up your street, let me know here and any ideas you can pitch in are welcome.

| As for pitching in ideas? Well, I'm no ideas man myself, but if you're interested, I can recommend the following as an excellent online resourse for campaigns at all levels of complexity: http://goingoncampaign.blogspot.com- Chris. | |

| I'd love a campaign with a finite amount of specialist equipment and troops.
A list of available units, characters and vehicles could be drawn up.
Once its destroyed its destroyed.
Bit complicated perhaps and not very logical if you allow daemon armies which are unlimited.
But fits the fluff for space marines and imperial kit- especially things like plasma guns, rare tanks etc.

| Alright, this is now enetering the first stages of planning.
Date at the moment is not a concern, im busying myself getting rules, maps, scenarios etc organised. It's definately a couple of months away yet.
However, I need to discern the major 'players' in this engagement. Post the army you'd prefer to play with here or get in contact with myself some other way to let me know, that way I can start pinning down a narrative and actually think of a reason for a good scrap. The faster you guys reply, the faster I can start getting this thing underway, time is of the essence brothers.
Praise Russ.

| Update on my army for the campaign. I'll be using Red Scorpions, nothing to do with the Chief Librarian able to have a 2+ Inv save, honest!
Lee. Think you should go with Salamanders as I think we're loosly basing the campaign on the Badab War & they were one of the Chapters who took part. Plus IA 10 should be out by ten with a Salamanders Special Character in it...
Matt's up for the campaign as well, he said he's using Blood Angels but I'll see if I can persuade him to go with The Lamenters. (BA Successor Chapter who turned renegade before returning back to the light).
Andy. Might be good if you go with the Tyrant's Legion list I showed you the other day, as it's a mix of Rebel Guard & Marines.

| Is there anything in there worth taking? 2+ invulnerable saves? or special characters with cheesy rules?
I didn't have much of a chance to have a look at it on Thursday I was too busy digging mass graves for my hapless guardsmen!
Will I lose the ability to give orders? Access to imperial guard heavy equipment? Do I gain access to any space marine special equipment? Uber land raider variants, storm shields, land speeders etc?
How about my beloved- thudd gun and heavy mortar- can I take those?

Andy Hi mate. Orders are gone. Heavy equipment still in, including sentry guns, various artillery barrages going from S 4 AP 6 to S 9 AP 3. Marine list has acess to Land Raiders, Devastator squads, etc. Only Character is Huron Blackheart, who's a bit nails. No thudd gun but have medusa, basilisk, etc. Will bring IA9 again Thursday for you to have another look.

| Sounds interesting- but I'm not convinced losing orders is worth it! Especially if I'm facing an enemy who has access to orders.
Still I'd like to have a look and see.

| Hi James- I'm still interested in playing the campaign- but I'd like to take loyalist space marines and representatives of the inquisition rather than traitors or traitor guard. Is that possible?
Any idea when this is going to get started? I need to plan carefully as my baby is due last week and I'm probably going to be sporadic at best in attending the club for a few months.

| Congrats on the forthcoming baby, Andy - if it's your first then you really won't know what's hit you other than the best feeling ever!
I'm still very much up for this with (loyalist) Guard...

| Hey Andy, yeah thats fine. The campaign is still in writing stages at the moment - I severely underestimated the amount of work involved, lol. After that play testing to see if it works. Whilst I can't give an exact update, I can confirm it will be a good few months away. I'll sit down and have a chat about forthcoming events with jay to make sure it dosen't clash with anything.
And congratulations on another servant of the Emperor being brought into your home *nods*
